For access to motion picture film stills please contact the Film Study Center. Yet the inevitable confrontation of these terms produced effects of far-ranging consequence. Their implicit purpose had to do with the 20th-century city. The Transcripts aimed to offer amnhattan different reading of architecture in which space, movement, and events are independent, yet stand in a new relation to one another, so that the conventional components of architecture are broken down and rebuilt along different axes.
