I picked this book up the day in hit the stores and went right into reading it. A Life in Parts by Bryan Cranston. Imago of Lockwood has become Lord Mayor of the City Imperishable, though at a price beyond his wildest imagination. Blaverine days of magic and adventure are fading away, giving way to the age of industry and science.
