I really enjoyed the characters this story. Why did he accept his reputation as a sexual deviant? They have great chemistry. But oh no, he was dead all along! Siin pace of the book could be faster in some places. That was my only problem with the book though, other than that I truly was endeared to this book. It is not entertaining, it does not facilitate the already more than facile access to the era for there is no era to asjworth and only proves that lazy writers and lazy publishers reign supreme.

It been years since I have read this book, and I only remembered how well I love the story and how well written it was.
Unfortunately, I grew a bit tired of the melodrama surrounding the mystery that brings Vivian and Will together. It may me laugh how Ashworth finally resolved it in the end view spoiler [ the husband died of an opium overdose xdele years before Vivian met William, so the whole time she was truly a widow and always free to marry Will hide spoiler ] it was so abrupt it just seemed to come out of no where and then the book ended.
