Obviously fans of the series will be looking for the next book but this one has the weakness that so many second books in series seem to have: I’m sure there’ll be a sequel but I wanted a little more. Some of the most powerful men and women in history since The Flood, throughout some of our most eventful eras Elizabethan and Victorian England, The Romanov Empire, World Warswere actually angels in human disguise. Finally, the conclusion is horribly thrown together, and an ridiculous cliffhanger is tacked to the last page. I was interested to see what happened to the main character from the last book, but didn’t get to see much of her–however the bits you saw were fascinating.

It’s been over 4 years since the last book, so I have little hope we will see this anytime soon. The first book, Angelology ,introduced us to Evangeline, who is dznielle fascinating main character of that we we meet again, ten years later when Angelopolis opens.

I liked it, I remember that. The characters felt realistic and the plot unraveled in a delicate balance of action, prose and context that kept the pacing quick The sequel felt completely different. Near to the Eiffel Tower we find a broken body of an angel, lying in a puddle of blue blood,and two gifted Angelologists. I could pick up on it, but I felt vaguely confused on where it came from.

As for me, I’m not wasting any more time on it. Nagelologia not too sure how those two will feature in the fight of humans versus angelic creatures, being that they both have bad and good angelic ancestors. It’s boring and I’m actually avoiding reading it because I still have no idea what is going on. Archeology, Faberge eggs and a real life Panopticon are involved.
