But Andy’s description of his own meditation journey is fascinating, and reinforces a lot of things he guides you through in the Headspace program. Beyond that, it’s hard for me to recommend it further given my prior exposure to his ideas and in-depth learning of puddicome concepts. It’s a great book for people looking to get into meditation but just don’t know where to start. Heather — If you want to get in to meditating, you might try some audiobooks that have guided meditations in them.
After the 10 andg of guided meditation a day, your mind feels nice and relaxed. That gives a more vivid picture of mindfulness.
I downloaded the app after GR friend Elizabeth spoke so highly of the book. The links work, but ssome website is updated and the links don’t get you straight to where you need to be. He has attributed this in part to an effort to cope with the trauma of bereavement. I was putting in so much effort just to handle daily operations and manage our growth that I was frustrated and exhausted.
During his appearance, he guided the show’s host, The Rootsand the audience through a two minute meditation. I signed up that night and started doing the Take10 meditations.

This book has changed my life. Puddicombe obviously has to make a living, after all. Overall, the book is a nice addition to the Headspace program. There are no discussion topics on this book yet. If you’re completely new to the material, I think you’d take much more away than enjoying parts of an auto-biography I am reading the Kindle version of this book, and really enjoying it.
It is a delightfully written book, very witty, interesting a a fast read. It looked and smelled like a moneymaking machine that I would prefer to avoid.
