I completely hated it. Upon learning of the book’s contents in the early s, Maitreyi, as Kamani mentioned, travelled to Chicago to confront Mircea. Eliade was much interested in the world of the unconscious.

I just kind of hated everything about this story. The story-line was somehow good but I hated each and everyone in it: How deep, complex and unintelligible they seemed to me.
