There are plenty of similarities between Hoxha and Stalin both personal and governmental. A little dry at first, particularly doing the meticulous description of the birth of the communist party in Albania, Fevziu manages to paint an image of a dictator that is somewhat recognisable yet shocking. Little serious scholarly fevzui exists in English either of post-war Albania or its leadership.
